Mehregan Agro Industrial
Mehregan Agro-Industry Company was established in 2019 with the mission of “producing and supplying agricultural products using innovative and smart methods to ensure food security, preserve natural resources, minimize environmental impacts, and promote sustainable agricultural development in the country.”
The company’s main activities are summarized as follows:
Greenhouse:
Mehregan has launched a 15-hectare high-tech hydroponic greenhouse as a national project—the largest and most advanced greenhouse in Tehran Province—focused on the export of its produce. This project is equipped with automated irrigation, fertigation, and intelligent climate control systems and is scheduled to become fully operational in 2025.
Hydroponic farming is a method of growing plants without soil and with minimal water usage. The primary product cultivated in this greenhouse is tomatoes, which are currently being exported to Russia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Persian Gulf countries.
Pistachio Orchard:
Mehregan owns a 50-hectare pistachio orchard growing Akbari, Ahmad Aghaei, and Fandoghi varieties. Additionally, in 2024, the company began establishing a new 30-hectare pistachio orchard planted with UCB1 rootstock. This orchard features both surface and subsurface irrigation systems.
Trading and Export:
In addition to producing and exporting tomatoes, Mehregan also sources and exports other greenhouse vegetables such as bell peppers and eggplants. These export products are marketed under the brand name MEHRANOVA.
